Alice is an authorised marriage celebrant, writer and MC.

From a 5-minute ceremony with your best pals in the back yard to a big ol’ barn dance, I’m ready for it.

Every couple has a story and I write all of my ceremonies individually to make sure I capture yours. The result is a ceremony that is light hearted, short and sweet - with the fun stuff and the serious stuff in all the right places.

I love the process of bringing a story to life in a way that perfectly matches each couple’s vibe and energy. The feedback I get on my ceremonies is usually along the lines of ‘you captured who we are perfectly’ or ‘you just got us’ - and that is GREAT NEWS!

You’re probably here because you need a marriage celebrant or an MC - and I do both of these things. But if marriage isn’t your jam, we can do a commitment ceremony. And if you’re already married, we can renew your vows! So if you’ve got an event in mind, have your people call my people and we’ll make a deal.

Keep scrolling for a bit of a ‘101’ on ceremonies and the legal must haves as well as my standard pricing terms!

“Alice was exactly what we wanted. Smart, funny and easy going. The ceremony was short, simple, and really funny. Alice just got us and made it light but warm and genuine. Do yourself a favour and book her, drink with her, laugh with her and encourage her to quit her job and do this full-time!”

What goes into the ceremony?

When it comes to ceremony design, literally anything is possible. No bridal party? No worries. Don’t want readings? Don’t have them. Prefer a friend to tell your story and for me to take a back seat? Love that. We’ll go through all the possible inclusions at our first meeting - but here’s a rough running order to give you an idea.

Welcome & Introduction (me). I’ll welcome everyone to the party and make any special mentions or acknowledgements.

Your story (me). I’ll have everything I need to write this from our first meeting + any emails or chats we have in the meantime. I usually break your story into sections around any readings you’d like to have.

Readings (friends or family members). Only if you’d like to include them - one to two readings is usually enough.

Monitum (me). The minimum wording required to be stated by the celebrant for the marriage to be legal.

Personal vows (you). Not compulsory - but if you’d like to do some personal vows, I can help with tips and where to start. As above, anything goes!

Legal vows (you). The legal vows are the compulsory words required to be stated by the couple for the marriage to be legal. If you’d like to exchange rings, I typically weave this in with the legal vows.

Signing (us). We (me, you and two witnesses) sign our lives away.

The big finish (all)! I declare you officially married and you exit to your favourite tune + party into the wee hours.

“Alice did a sensational job - our ceremony was perfect and exactly how we wanted it. Alice kept it light hearted, humorous, but also sentimental and touching at the right times. Alice got to the heart of our relationship and delivered a ceremony that really reflected us as a couple - we actually had several people afterwards ask if she was friends with us beforehand, they thought she seemed to know us so well. She was fantastic to work with - really pleasant, professional, reliable and efficient, with a strong passion for her work too. Could not recommend her highly enough.”
